Knotty
Knotty is the resident "Sugar Devil" on the pirate ship. After being orphaned, he was brought up by the pirate crew. To strangers, he's all wide-eyed innocence, but the moment their backs are turned, he's smearing soot on the anchor or stuffing an octopus into a rum barrel. His tune changes completely for a pretty face, though... then, he's all sweet talk! Knotty's father was the ship's machinist and knew how much his son longed to ride a horse like the kids on shore. So for Knotty's 7th birthday, he crafted him a special "little seahorse." These days, the little rascal is always zipping around the deck on his Seahorse, his cackles of mischief drowning out the sound of the waves.
